Bieber to be prosecuted if L.A. County Sheriff’s Department gets its way

Justin Bieber might be prosecuted for some of his recent bad behavior, but this news has nothing to do with the pop star trying to smuggle a monkey into Munich. According to a March 30 report by TMZ, the Biebs might get charged with criminal battery after spitting on a neighbor.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the claim that Justin spit on a neighbor, which might not seem like that big of a deal at first. However, since flinging body fluids at another person is a rather disgusting and degrading action that could be considered a health hazard, it’s not hard to see why the Sheriff’s Department is taking this charge very seriously.

Justin allegedly spit on the neighbor in question because the man confronted the singer about his reckless driving. The neighbor claimed that Justin was putting people in danger by zipping around their gated community at speeds well over the legal speed limit.

Once the Sherriff’s Department completes its investigation, Justin Bieber’s case will be turned over to the L.A. County District Attorney for review. The Department doesn’t officially have a recommendation for the D.A. yet, but TMZ’s sources say that the Department will likely recommend that Justin be prosecuted. It’s crazy to think that Justin could get charged with criminal battery for sharing his spit since there are a lot of Beliebers out there who probably envy the Biebs’ annoyed neighbor.

But Justin isn’t just in danger of being prosecuted for spraying it instead of saying it. The Sheriff’s Department is well aware of the pop star’s past bad behavior, which includes reckless driving, threats, fights, speeding tickets, and drug use. All those little things can snowball into problems that just keep getting bigger and bigger, which is something that Lindsay Lohan has discovered. However, Lindsay’s mounting legal woes haven’t been the wake-up call that she needs to make her change her ways, so Beliebers should probably be very concerned about their idol’s future — hopefully Justin doesn’t start stealing jewelry, doing weird things to his face, or working with Charlie Sheen. On a side note, Amanda Bynes must love all the drama that Lilo and the Biebs have been creating, because it’s made the buzz about her own bizarre behavior fizzle.

Who knows? Maybe the Sheriff’s Department is cracking down on Justin because they’ve seen what being too lenient on other celebs has done. When stars who already have a sense of entitlement get a slap on the wrist for doing something illegal, they don’t learn their lesson, and they might walk away from the experience feeling even more untouchable and self-important than they did before. After all, what’s a little fine and attorney’s fees to someone who has millions in the bank? This attitude, of course, just breeds more bad behavior.

So since Justin could end up dealing with a legal battle, it’s a good thing his monkey named Mally got taken away from him when he was caught trying to smuggle the primate into Munich. The poor thing probably would have ended up suffering the same fate as Justin’s hamster named PAC — that cute little critter died shortly after the Biebs handed him off to a fan. And if Justin can’t even take care of a hamster, he obviously has a lot of growing up to do.
