On arrival at Italy, the Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said “the Iranian foreign ministry aims to discuss regional issues and dangers as well as JCPOA issue in this international conference.”
“We insist that JCPOA cannot be negotiable. As the leader of the Islamic Revolution has asserted, the support offered by the European Union is a favorable move that nevertheless needs to be reiterated and put into effect through adopting more practical measures,” said Zarif concerning JCPOA.
Zarif referred to the topics discussed by the foreign ministers about the Middle East and added “it is true that ISIL has failed in terms of armed encounters, but the ISIL creeds still need to be disputed throughout the world.”
“Terrorists should be attacked from cultural, ideological, political and financial fronts and we should restrict their access to financial resources and weaponry,” added the Iranian FM.
“We already know the countries that offer such helps to the terrorist groups, both in the region and the US outside the region. These will be the topics we hope to discuss,” he went on.
Iranian foreign minister Zarif concluded “we will meet the Italian foreign minister and other European and regional foreign ministers on the margins of the conference.”
