TEHRAN, June 11 (Shana) — Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh is expected to attend this week’s Majlis(parliament) public meeting to explain developments in oil and gas market.
The petroleum minister is scheduled to discuss the ministry’s plan for implementation of Resistance Economy outlined by the Leader.
He will explain to the lawmakers the Ministry of Petroleum’s current stance, the challenges and the offers for resolution of problems.
Other cabinet ministers including foreign minister, labor minister as well as agriculture minister are also scheduled to brief Iran’s new parliament this week.
Iranian petroleum minister has always underlined that his ministry is pursuing the principles of resistance economy to confront enemies’ plots.
“The western countries, including the US, have sought to create problems for the country by imposing sanctions on the oil industry, but we are still moving towards our goals,” Zanganeh has said recently.
He underlined that the resistance economy is the main strategy of the country, including the oil industry, saying, “The Petroleum Ministry is pursuing strategies of the resistance economy.”
Back in 2014, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a proclamation outlined a series of general policies to boost Iran’s economy and lower its vulnerabilities.
The proclamation, laying out a grand plan for Resistance Economy in Iran, was issued after consultations with the country’s Expediency Council and based upon the Clause 1 of Article 110 of the Iranian Constitution.
The leader also described Resistance Economy as a dynamic and long-term strategy that can help Iran realize its economic objectives.
