AMMAN, (PIC)– The families of Jordanian hunger strikers in Israeli jails demanded the Jordanian king and his government to intervene for the release of all Jordanian citizens from Israeli prisons.

This came in a statement read during a popular festival organized on Saturday by the Jordanian engineer union outside the house of Jordanian prisoner Hamza Addabbas, one of the union’s employees.

The statement conveyed the families’ concern about the lives of their striking relatives who entered the second month of their hunger strike.

The festival was held in solidarity with Jordanian engineers, Dirar Abu Sisi, Abbas Assayed, and Abdullah Al-Barghouthi as well as the unionist Hamza Addabbas.

For his part, head of the engineer union Naser Huneidi called in a speech on the Jordanian leadership to revoke the agreement of Wadi Araba with Israel and expel its ambassador in Amman.
