A woman has been struck and killed by a freight train in northern Victoria.
The woman, aged in her 50s, died while trying to walk across the railway tracks in Echuca about 10.30am (AEST) on Monday, police said.
She was struck by a north-bound freight train in Ogilvie Avenue, about one kilometre south of the Echuca train station.
Police are investigating the incident.
