A WOMAN found dead in her bedroom with her hands and feet bound has been named as Lynette Bradbury.


The 56-year-old’s husband Brian made the horrific discovery St their Oatlands home when he arrived home from work late last night.

The Homicide Squad is investigating the death which is being treated as murder.

Police said Mrs Bradbury was suffering head injuries, as well as having her hands and feet tied.

Her husband was treated for shock by ambulance officers at the scene.

The Daily Telegraph has been told Mr and Mrs Bradbury both worked at Westmead Hospital, where she was a medical receptionist and he works as a cleaner.

Westmead Hospital acting general manager David Beard later said staff were shocked and “deeply saddened” by the tragedy.

“Lyn was a much loved, respected and long-standing member of the ED team who was always friendly and caring towards patients seeking care at Westmead,” he said in a statement.

“She will be sadly missed.”

Mr Beard said the sympathies of all Westmead staff went out to her family.

“Our thoughts are with her loved ones during this very difficult time,” he said.

Police have issued an appeal to children and parents who may have been trick or treating in the street, as part of Halloween celebrations, to come forward.

Superintendent Philip Flogel said neighbors have confirmed there were children dresses up and door-knocking in the area.

“We’d ask for anyone who knocked on the door of 45 Kerrie Rd, to contact us,” Supt Bradbury said.

A strike force has been set up to investigate the woman’s murder.

“We are treating the death as suspicious,” he said.

Investigators haven’t found any weapon in the home and would not comment on whether the victim may have known her attacker.

The neighbourhood is known for moderate levels of crime.

“It’s an area that we respond to from time to time but generally it is a nice, safe community,” Supt Slogel said.

It is understood the Mrs Bradbury and her husband lived alone at the house, but have adult children who live in Sydney.

She was last seen by her husband, around 4.30pm yesterday, when she arrived home from work.

Police confirmed the couple had about 20 minutes together before Mr Bradbury left to go to work himself.

Forensic officers remain at the Kerrie Rd house scouring for clues.
