Martin’s girlfriend also told prosecutors that he yelled “get off, get off” in the moments before his phone went dead. The girl said that Martin sounded breathless and scared but managed to briefly evade Zimmerman before being cornered close to his father’s home.
A separate autopsy report showed that Martin had traces of cannabis in his system at the time of his death.
Forensics investigators also concluded that the Zimmerman fired from an “intermediate range” of less than three feet.
