Why Learn About European and Western History?

The man who has no sense of history is like a man who has no ears or eyes.” –Adolf Hitler

Well, there’s one very good reason to learn about European and Western history straight off the bat, and straight from the mouth of a man who knew exactly what he was talking about. Any questions?

Fortunately, there is already a reasonable emphasis on understanding key periods of European and Western history within our circles. This is in fact virtually by default, since most of us would not even be awake in the first place without at least some understanding of history.

Aside from this, however, there still remain numerous aspects of European and Western history to learn from which are of particular importance to us. To this end, we can delineate five different categories of relevance, each of which can assist us in the following ways:

(1) To acquire a better understanding of society and the world
(2) To understanding how we arrived at our current situation
(3) To address the historical distortions perpetrated against our people
(4) To forge and strengthen a sense of European / Western identity
(5) To gain a basic grasp of military history and military principles

First things first: prioritizing efforts

Although many in our circles would agree that learning about the history of European and Western civilization is a worthwhile endeavour, it would be amiss to simply launch into the topic without first putting some priorities in order, especially in light of current events.

As the pace of events in Europe now abruptly quickens, the true horror of the fate in store for our people all across the Western World begins to hit home harder than ever before.

And scattered in the wake of these events lay an uncountable number of bewildered Europeans who, although now at least finally shocked awake to the danger, are still dazed and barely able to comprehend exactly what is occurring and why. Unfortunately for many of these people, the hardest part is yet to come: that awful moment when the realization of the true agenda behind the lies sinks in and crystallizes into its final harsh, jagged form.

For those of us who have been aware of the agenda for our displacement and replacement for some time now, especially those of us in Europe, it is our duty as a collective to increase efforts at outreach, guidance and recruitment. This is where our efforts need to be primarily focused. This cannot be emphasized strongly enough.

The ten-front war

Despite this acceleration of events, we must still be aware of the fact that we face a complex and multi-faceted struggle, one where we are being hit from many different directions at once. We are not fighting a war on two fronts, but something closer to a war on ten fronts, and ours is a battle which cannot be secured by one axis of effort alone.

As we remain overwhelmed by this, our enemies display a large grin and smugly rub their hands together. All is going according to plan.

We are on a ship that is slowly sinking, one riddled with leaks in many places, and this demands a multi-pronged approach.

Without a doubt, the influx of immigrants and rampant levels of migrant crime are the chief symptoms of the haemorrhaging we face at this point, and outreach therefore deserves priority.

Nonetheless, we still cannot ignore other vital areas which demand shoring up.

Fortunately, we do possess the numbers to be able to counterattack in all directions at once, and to keep pressing the effort. A greater level of planning, organization and coordination is probably called for at some point, however this is a topic which is beyond the scope of this article.

So why learn about European and Western history?

As stated above, learning about European and Western History can benefit us in five key ways. These will now be discussed in a little more detail.

Many of us may already be reasonably aware of the benefits of learning about European and Western History, however it is good practice to commit such concepts to writing in any case.

The topic of taking active measures to counter historical distortions directed against our people (as discussed in section #3 below) does deserve further consideration at some point, with specific strategies called for to address the issue. However it is not the intent of this particular article to delve into this subject.

(1) Acquiring a better understanding of society and the world

Following on from Hitler’s quote at the outset of this article, it is indeed true and should be only too obvious that possessing a greater sense and knowledge of history opens one’s ears and eyes to the world in general. It sharpens one’s understanding of human nature and of the forces which drive human behaviour and societal change on the macro level. It also makes one aware of historical principles and trends, providing a better grasp of how the real world works, and enhances one’s critical thinking skills in this area. As a result, the history-savvy person is better able to anticipate societal and global events compared to the average person less knowledgeable about history.

(2) Understanding our current predicament

Understanding our current situation and the unfolding of events which has led up to the crisis we face today is only really possible with a reasonable grasp of modern history, especially from the 20th century onwards.

As many of us already know, the periods of particular interest during the 20th century which have had the most immediate effect on the world of today are the Second World War and the post-war period, particularly from the 1960s onwards.

Winding the clock back into the reaches of ancient history, although of less immediate relevance, is still quite revealing in that it holds echoes of what we find in our times, as we see quite clearly the same culprits – our historical enemies – locked in struggle with our ancestors time and again. This confirms to any realistic, rational person that there exists a cultural divide that is simply too vast to ever hope to ameliorate with these people, despite lie upon lie about tolerance, diversity being equal to strength, and other such empty nonsense about multicultural utopias being in the offing.

(3) Addressing the historical distortions perpetrated against our people

A knowledge of European and Western history, and to a degree the comparative history of other civilizations, helps us to clearly see the nefarious distortions and fabrications of our history and how our history is being turned against us.

This fact encompasses one of the most important reasons for learning about European and Western history, and is closely related with the next topic discussed (#4: Forging and strengthening a sense of European / Western identity).

The weaponization of our history and its use against us amounts to nothing less than a savage campaign of psychological warfare, unprecedented in its scope, and mirroring something very close to a PSYOP, centering on the devious use of distortions, half-truths and outright lies regarding European and Western history.

This has essentially poisoned the well from which our self-perception and worth as a people springs, resulting in untold amounts of guilt and self-hatred infecting almost the entire community of our people.

And as if that weren’t catastrophic enough, this same judeo-leftist tactic has simultaneously poisoned the entire world’s perception against us as well – a two-front sledgehammering.

There is no doubt that this unforgivable and ongoing atrocity has cost an incalculable number of innocent people their lives.

Our enemies have seen fit to launch a multi-pronged assault upon European and Western history which appears to fit roughly into the following five categories:

  1. Exaggerating the magnitude of historical injustices committed
  2. Reinforcing historical injustices by way of constant reiteration
  3. Reinforcing historical injustices committed by Europeans and Westerners by way of ignoring or minimizing the injustices committed by others, which essentially equates to ignoring half of the critical facts about history
  4. Minimizing or omitting the positives to come out of European and Western civilization (which are unparalleled in in terms of the numbers of lives saved, and the numbers of lives benefited)
  5. Constantly dragging all people of European descent (“white people”) into collective guilt for historical injustices committed

Had this unforgivable crime been addressed and neutralized in timely fashion long ago, there would be no invasion of Europe taking place today, and no “replacement migration” taking place within the United States or any other Western nation.

It is this white guilt which has in fact helped paved the way for the current catastrophe unfolding before our eyes. White guilt and “diversity” (aka foreign invasion), moral decay and erosion of the family unit, “liberation” and low fertility – all of these elements are inextricably linked.

Although these historical distortions do receive some attention within our circles, more emphasis in this area is needed, and much greater promotion to the public at large is required in order to attempt to remedy the situation.

As already stated, the specifics of how this can be achieved are beyond the scope of this article.

Perhaps maximum effort will only ever partially remedy the situation. Only time will tell.

(4) Forging and strengthening a sense of European / Western identity

Forging and strengthening a sense of European / Western identity is absolutely critical should our people wish to survive.

This fact, along with the need to counter the weaponization of our history, represent the two the most important reasons for learning about European and Western history.

If ours is to remain a movement of any merit that can hope to achieve anything productive, it must remain a spiritual movement as much as anything else, for spirituality provides both direction and strength. And by using the term “spiritual”, I am not even referring to leanings towards European Paganism, Christianity, or any other creed. I am referring to what stirs the human spirit, the human psyche – an awakening and strengthening of a European identity.

We must look to the past for this, for there is not much in our time that really inspires. Just look around you. All is insipid and dull; endless fields of endless rows of consumer orchards, stretching as far as the eye can see. Spiritual and cultural death is the only harvest that will ever come from this.

In order to survive, our people must break free from these endless matrix fields of consumer orchards, which keep them imprisoned in a mass hypnosis and false realities.

To destroy a people, you must first sever their roots.” –Alexander Solzhenitzyn

Destroy the roots and you destroy the tree.

The efforts in uprooting the tree of Mother Europa and her branches are succeeding. Even within the space of a mere half-century, the judeo-leftist wrecking ball has inflicted tremendous amounts of damage upon it.

Failure to re-establish this root system and nourish it back to good health will see the window of opportunity being slammed shut for all time.

No one else but our people will accomplish this task, and no one else but our people can accomplish this task.

We can regain what we have lost and rekindle it anew. We can do this. We can light raging fires and become something mightier than ever before. What we face today is a threat, but also an opportunity.

In order to seize an inner spiritual identity, our people as a whole must reconnect with and recapture the vigour, creativity and warrior spirit of old: the great leaders, warriors, innovators, inventors, philosophers, writers, artists, explorers, scientists, and artisans. For it is these people who, far above any other people, race or culture that has ever existed, shaped history and gave so much to the world.

In honouring the legends and heroes of the past, marveling at the discoveries and innovations of the past, and treasuring the artistic accomplishments of the past, we revive them and breathe life back into them. We breathe life back into something our enemies are trying to kill. Already they have distorted it, and already they aim to appropriate it to worthless ingrates who in comparison have contributed next to nothing to humanity throughout the centuries.

Take heart that the inspirational Europeans of yesterday are still firmly encoded within our DNA, their blood still flowing in our veins. These people of yesterday struggled, triumphed and flourished against all of the tribulations that the tides of history could throw at them.

We must learn from these people of yesterday as well as the cultures and civilizations that spawned them.

I am not talking about striving to earn a doctorate degree in history, but placing a greater emphasis on learning about and reconnecting with our common roots. This point cannot be emphasized strongly enough.

From the Celtic and Greco-Roman worlds of early antiquity to the Gothic and Viking peoples of the Middle Ages; from the Slavic lands in the east, all the way across mainland Europe to Spain in the west; from the British Isles across the Atlantic Ocean to the founding of the United States, Canada and the other Western nations.

From classical antiquity to the Middle Ages; from The Renaissance to the Industrial Revolution; from the Machine Age to the Atomic and Information Ages – Europe and the West, virtually alone, has driven this whole juggernaut throughout the pages of history.

All of this represents a massive tapestry of knowledge, inspiration, direction, and strength, from which we can draw, arm ourselves, and use to strike back with.

Roots and wings. Roots to feed the spirit, wings to spread the roots, all three of which then produce the next generation, and so the cycle repeats. This is a cycle which must be kept going at all costs if our people are to survive.

(5) Gaining a basic grasp of military history and military principles

When learning about European and Western history, one will inevitably come across examples of military encounters of all kinds, ranging from small skirmishes to the largest clashes this planet has ever seen.

European and Western military history can be a reasonably interesting topic on the one hand, but not so much when considered from the tragic viewpoint of the fratricidal brothers’ wars phenomenon that has occurred regularly throughout its entire history, fuelled by shortsighted patriotism and internal enemies.

Nonetheless, one can be heartened by the heroic resistance to tyranny in addition to inspiring victories over alien invaders, which Europe can boast many examples of: Miltiades at the Battle of Marathon, the “moral victory” of the Spartans at Thermopylae, Charles Martel at the Battle of Tours, the Christian Coalition at the Battle of Vienna, and so on.

And besides those who have repelled outside alien invaders, we have an uncountable assortment of conquerors who have carved out some of the greatest civilizations ever seen in history.

The European bloodlines have always excelled at waging war and conquest.

A reasonable understanding of military history can provide a fairly rudimentary understanding of military principles.

However, as interesting as these topics may be to many, they are probably of the least importance to us at present, except perhaps to survivalists, preppers or those with a particular interest in military history.

On the other hand as many of us are aware, military principles do overlap to a degree with the fundamentals of competitive disciplines such as leadership, management, business, politics, and even sport, and can therefore augment knowledge in these respective fields.

Sun Tzu’s timeless piece The Art of War, for example, has found recognition in many of these fields, and is in fact required reading in some.

Henry Ford and Harrington Emerson (a pioneer in business theory, efficiency and management) also realized this parallel in the early part of the 20th century when they drafted their own respective principles of efficiency.

Even the judeo-leftist agitator Saul Alinksy used a quasi-military approach in his thinking, as is reflected in the terminology used in his work Rules for Radicals (specifically, rules 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10).

Conclusion

By clarifying in some detail the benefits of learning about European and Western history, we can identify several huge benefits to each of us personally and to our cause in general.

Standing out chiefly above all is the forging of a sense of identity and pride in being of European and Western heritage. This not only ventures into the spiritual, but also furnishes us with very practical ammunition with which to fight back. The basic weapon we can take from the knowledge we acquire is the almighty Hammer of Truth, which, if wielded skilfully, can smash through the lies and the walls which have been put up around us. And by doing so, we can breathe life back into what our enemies had thought they had destroyed for good – our sense of pride in belonging to the soul of Mother Europa herself.
