‘West must recognize Iran N-rights’

“Western countries have no option but to recognize Iran’s inalienable nuclear rights,” Chairman of Iran’s Majlis Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Sunday.

He added that the outcome of the talks depends on the negotiating sides’ commitment to agreements and stated, “The P5+1 countries should implement the agreements [reached] in Baghdad and Istanbul.”

“The West has so far issued illegal resolutions with political objectives against Iran. We strongly oppose this measure and will not give up our legal rights,” Boroujerdi said.

He once again called on the P5+1 – Russia, China, France, Britain, the US and Germany – to remain committed to their undertaking during the Moscow talks.

Iran and the P5+1 wrapped up their last meeting in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on May 24 after two days of negotiations.

They had held three rounds of talks prior to the Baghdad negotiations, one in Geneva in December 2010, and two in Istanbul in January 2011 and in April 2012.

Both sides agreed to hold another round of talks in Moscow on June 18-19.

Meanwhile, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili arrived in Moscow for a new round of talks with the representatives of the P5+1, due to begin Monday.
