A reveller who tried to show off his gymnastic skills after a night out drinking has become a YouTube sensation after footage of his drunken attempt to climb a bus shelter before plunging through the roof was posted on the website.

In the 47-second-long clip, a man in his early 20s tries to take a running jump on to a bus shelter in Wilmslow, Cheshire, before failing miserably.

Not deterred in his drunken state, the unidentified man gets ready to try again, despite his friend who is filming his antics attempting to tell him that he won’t be able to do it.

The drunk man then goes on to limber up in a pair of unsuitable tight brown trousers before taking another run-up to the bus stop.

He then attempts a running jump on to the bus shelter in Wilmslow, Cheshire, but doesn’t get very far

Made it: He eventually manages to crawl up on to the bus shelter – but it takes up most of the 47second video

As he gets no where near the top, he is left to pull himself up by his arms as his watching friend laughs at his lame attempt.

But once he is successfully on top of the shelter he decides to celebrate by pulling his pants down and jumping up and down – until the roof gives way and he falls though it with a loud bang.

Celebration: Bizarrely, to celebrate the climb, he then pulls down his trousers and starts jumping up and down

The video entitled ‘Epic fail!!!!!! idiot vs bus stop’ was posted on May 22 this year and already has 15,483 views.

But after the video went viral, police are using it to try and track down the man for causing £560 worth of damage to the bus stop.

The police actually have a pretty good record of arresting people (especially murderers and rapists), it’s just that the justice system keeps letting them go again.
