ABC – The genocide trial of Ratko Mladic was broken off after the Bosnian Serb general complained he felt unwell and was taken to hospital for medical checks, a court spokeswoman said. “He complained he was feeling unwell during the hearing, so the hearing was adjourned,” Nerma Jelasic, spokeswoman for the war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia said. “He was seen by the nurse of the tribunal, and the decision was taken to take him to hospital. “The hearing has been adjourned for the day. “The judge said the hearing would resume tomorrow if he is back in the courtroom, otherwise an update will be given.” Mladic, 70, has been indicted on 11 counts of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity for his role in the Balkans war.
