(Natural News) A video from AB InBev, the parent company of Anheuser-Busch that brews Bud Light, showed the company’s commitment to wokeism by purging White, male employees among its ranks.
The video from November 2022 showed various employees of the Belgium-based beer company pledging to become “more diverse and inclusive.” According to the clip, eschewing White, male employees gives way for staff members who “better represent” the woke ideology.
“We’re still 40 percent women and 60 percent men, still predominantly White,” said senior graphic designer Kara-Jessica Mallett. “There’s still work to be done.”
Mallett, a Black woman, also said in the video: “I feel like I finally found my voice as a Black woman, and I’m not prepared to lose it.”
Lara Laila Garber, AB InBev’s European manager for diversity and inclusion, explained the Belgian company’s “Cheers to Diversity and Inclusion” campaign in the said video. She said: “At AB InBev, what we wanted to do is ensure that diversity and inclusion is fully integrated in our business strategy.”
Ironically, the video also featured two White male employees – the same demographic AB InBev wants to kick out.
Diversity video comes months before the disastrous Mulvaney campaign
The news of the video followed the company’s plummeting sales, the consequence of a conservative boycott of its brand Bud Light. AB InBev’s decision to partner with a transgender influencer had widespread repercussions, with former customers spearheading a boycott of the brand.
Back in March of this year, Dylan Mulvaney partnered with the beer brand in time for the March Madness football season. Bud Light continued the campaign by releasing a special can with the transgender’s face on it, in celebration of Mulvaney’s “365 Days of Girlhood.”
As a result of this pivot toward wokeism and transgenderism, Bud Light’s former customer base boycotted the brand. Many personalities also eschewed the brand, with singer-songwriter Kid Rock of “Bawitdaba” fame even recording footage of himself shooting up Bud Light cans. On the corporate site, the boycott campaign wiped billions of AB InBev’s value and prompted financial giant HSBC to downgrade the company’s stock.
Anheuser-Busch – AB InBev’s St. Louis-based subsidiary – had also found itself in hot water in April. A complaint filed by America First Legal (AFL) on April 17 accused Anheuser-Busch of “knowingly, intentionally and unlawfully discriminating based on race, color, national origin and sex with respect to employment and job training opportunities.” The group lodged its complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
AFL pointed to Anheuser-Busch’s 2023 Leadership Accelerator Program, which encourages “candidates who identify as Black, [Hispanic], and Native American” alongside “those who identify with a historically underrepresented group” to apply. Despite insisting that it is an “equal opportunity employer,” the program interestingly excluded Whites and Asians. According to AFL, federal law forbids an employer from discriminating against an existing or potential employee due to the person’s race, color, national origin, sex or religion. In addition, employers are also forbidden from limiting, segregating or classifying employees or applicants in such a discriminatory manner that would affect the individual’s employment opportunities.
“A commissioner’s charge is particularly appropriate here because there is ample reason to believe that Anheuser-Busch has knowingly and intentionally violated federal law and will continue to do so,” the April 17 complaint noted. “The corporation has chosen to promote and use employment practices that are both patently illegal and deeply harmful.”
