A 37-year-old Victorian woman has died after plunging 60 metres over a waterfall in Western Australia’s Kimberley region.
The woman fell at about 10.30am WST on Sunday from Big Mertens waterfall, near Mitchell Falls in the Mitchell River National Park.
Police said the woman landed in a pool at the bottom of the gorge.
Her husband witnessed the fall, they said.
While some family members in Victoria had been advised of her death, extended family had not yet been told so police were unable to release her name.
