The cars of two brothers have been impounded after they were allegedly caught speeding northwest of Melbourne with a total of 10 family members in their vehicles, including young children.
Police said one vehicle was clocked at 180km/h, while the other was doing more than 160km/h in a 110km zone on the Western Freeway in Myrniong, just after 8pm (AEDT) on Saturday.
The cars have been impounded for 30 days under the hoon legislation.
The drivers, aged 26 and 27 years old, are expected to be charged on summons with speeding and speed dangerous, said police.
