A couple who went on the run after police discovered child-porn images during a raid on their home have pleaded guilty.
Rebecca Michels, 25, and Craig Stanley, 28, fled in October after a raid on their Langwarrin home in outer Melbourne. Police found more than 17,000 child-porn images.
Stanley pleaded guilty to possessing 17,381 child-porn images. He also pleaded guilty to making child-porn images and transmitting three images.
Michels has admitted making child porn.
Magistrate Jack Vandersteen said there must have been an element of trust built up with a child depicted in the images before she participated.
The Melbourne Magistrates Court heard a one-year-old baby was depicted in one of the images found on Stanley’s electronic devices.
A pre-sentence hearing before Mr Vandersteen is continuing.
