Beirut, Nov. 30, IRNA – Advisor to the Supreme Leader for International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati arrived in Beirut from Damascus heading a delegation to discuss issues of mutual interests with Lebanese officials.
Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdullahian is accompanying Velayati in this trip.
In Damascus, Velayati met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem separately.
Velayati underlined Iran’s support for the Syrian nation and government in the fight against Takfiri terrorists.
