US special forces killed in Djibouti plane crash

The US Africa Command said the U-28 was on a “routine flight” when it went
down six miles from the Djibouti
International Airport.

The cause of the crash was under investigation but there was no indication it
had been shot down.

Camp Lemonnier is often used for staging special forces raids into Somalia
and other parts of the Horn of Africa.
