“An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service member died following an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan today,” the ISAF said in a statement on Tuesday.
The western military alliance did not reveal the exact location of the incident or the nationality of the victims.
Most foreign forces stationed in southern regions of the volatile country are from the United States, Britain and Australia.
The rising death toll for the US-led forces has increased anger in the US and other countries contributing to the prolonged war in Afghanistan.
