US-led airstrikes kill two more Afghans

The US-led NATO forces carried out the airstrikes Tuesday night when NATO helicopters attacked a home in Aqtash district of northern Konduz province, leaving two brothers dead, police officials told Press TV.

According to the sources, one woman was wounded during the attack.

NATO claimed the two were militants.

The attack comes on the day that the US-led coalition forces admitted killing of eight Afghan children in last week’s NATO bombing raid in the northeast province of Kapisa.

Hundreds of civilians have lost their lives in US-led airstrikes and ground operations in various parts of Afghanistan over the past few months, with Afghans becoming more and more outraged over the seemingly endless number of deadly assaults.

Afghan authorities have repeatedly warned NATO forces to avoid killing civilians during military operations.
