FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda “The US and Zionist regime in their effort to weaken the Muslim world are trying to change the regime in Syria which is a an important factor in resistance against the occupier Israeli regime,” said Head of the Iran-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group Ali Akbar Aqaei in a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Iran Umit Yardim on Monday.
He emphasized that Israel should not be allowed to make use of Syrian developments to serve its own interests.
The Iranian lawmaker pointed to regional events and the popular revolutions in Arab countries and said, “Iran and Turkey should make use of such developments to meet the interests of Muslim nations through bilateral cooperation and in line with an appropriate strategy.”
The Turkish ambassador, for his part, called on Tehran and Ankara to try and increase the value of mutual trade and commercial ties to 30 billion dollars.
He said the great potentials of Iran and Turkey should be used to serve the national interests of both side and to promote peace in the region.
