FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda “America has always been a warrior nation. It’s addicted to war. Permanent ones are waged. Nations are ravaged one at a time or in multiples,” Stephen Lendman wrote on the Press TV website.
He said the US will not stop short of deploying any possible means at its disposal to achieve “dominance” as it will settle for nothing less. “War is a favorite option.”
“If America had a motto it would be war is good, the more the better. How else can generals get stars and profiteers cash in big?” the analyst asked.
“Human lives are a small price to pay. Rule of law principles are ignored. Wealth and power alone matter. It’s the American way,” Lendman added.
He said US President Barack Obama, for all his cries of “change,” is continuing with the policies of his predecessor George W. Bush. “Replacing independent regimes with client ones is key. Syria and Iran are prime targets.”
Reports suggest that Washington’s roadmap for wars in the region has been some time in the making. “In his 2004 book, Winning Modern Wars, General Wesley Clark said Pentagon sources told him two months after 9/11 that war plans were being prepared against Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Somalia, Sudan and Libya. Months earlier, they were finalized against Afghanistan,” Lendman noted.
On July 3, The New York Times published a report headlined “US Adds Forces in Persian Gulf, a Signal to Iran,” saying Washington has “quietly” moved “significant” military reinforcements into the Persian Gulf for “striking deep into Iran” if the standoff over its nuclear energy program escalates.
The deployments are part of “a long-planned effort” to bolster the US military presence in the Persian Gulf region, the report added.
“Thousands of troops are stationed nearby. America’s military infests the region. Saber-rattling and destabilization are part of the strategy. So is war if other regime change options fail,” Lendman concluded.
