FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Unions are in damage control over Ford’s proposed job cuts, with more meetings scheduled with the car company on Friday.
Ford announced on Tuesday it will axe 440 jobs at its Broadmeadows and Geelong plants by November, due to a slump in large car sales.
Australian Manufacturing Workers Union (AMWU) officials met with Ford management on Wednesday to ask if numbers could be reduced and to discuss details of the redundancy process, AMWU assistant state secretary Leigh Diehm says.
Mr Diehm said he was concerned the quota for voluntary redundancies would not be met.
“Our concern is that there aren’t going to be enough volunteers,” Mr Diehm told AAP.
The union also asked for retraining and the transfer of affected workers.
Ford has not commented on the negotiations with unions, citing confidentiality arrangements.
Meetings will continue on Friday.
