Hao Ping, who is in Iran to attend a ceremony to commemorate registration of the Burnt City in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List, accompanied by Iran’s Ambassador to UNESCO Ahmad Jalali and Deputy Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Mohammad Hassan Talebian, visited a number of historical sites in Iranian central city of town.
Jalali, on the sidelines of this visit told IRNA that UNESCO President in this trip is to get acquainted with Iran’s activities in the fields of protecting cultural heritage and development of education.
President of UNESCO’s General Conference told IRNA that Iran has played an important role to build the world civilization. Hao Ping added Iran has been able to protect its historical sites very well.
