Unauthorized Exorcism Leads to Rape From Priest

A Virginia woman identified only as “Jane Doe” filed a lawsuit this week alleging that a former Catholic priest from the Diocese of Arlington Virginia molested her during an unauthorized exorcism ceremony. Her lawsuit names, in addition to the priest, the diocese itself and its Bishop and claims $5.35 Million in damages.

According to the complaint, Jane Doe, a resident of Warren County, appealed to the Reverent Thomas Euteneuer for council, saying she believed she needed an exorcism. Euteneuer then agreed to serve as her “deliverance minister,” and proceeded to preside over a 2-year-long exorcism to resolve Doe’s “severe” case of “unclean spirits.”

Doe’s complaint describes multiple incidents of inappropriate touching over the course of the prolonged ceremony. “He kissed the corners of her mouth; stroked her legs, breasts and thighs; caressed her face; laid his body on top of hers; and frequently explained full, passionate kisses as ‘blowing the Holy Spirit into her.'”

Doe is also alleging that Euteneuer penetrated her vagina digitally on at least six occasions.

The Diocese of Arlington has provided no response to the charges except to say that it has not yet received the complaint, Euteneuer has never been a priest of the diocese and that he was certainly not authorized by them to perform exorcisms.
