Awake Goy UN: Israel killed 60 Pals, including 16 children in 2016
Days of Palestine, Jerusalem -Israeli occupation forces killed 60 Palestinians, including 16 children in occupied Palestinian territories since start of 2016, UN reports said.
“Some of these incidents have raised concern about possible excessive use of force and extra-judicial executions by Israeli forces,” a UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) issued on Friday said.
The report noted that the Israeli forces shot and killed a 31-year-old Palestinian man and injured a 21-year-old Palestinian woman over the course of two separate, alleged stabbing attempts at Huwwara Checkpoint in Nablus and Qalandiya Checkpoint in Jerusalem.
It stated that this is an example about the Israeli use of “excessive force” and “extra-judicial executions.” The reported said that “no Israeli soldier was injured in either of these incidents.” Meanwhile, the report said that the Israeli occupation forces wounded 67 Palestinians during the week that it covered, including 14 children. The Palestinians were wounded during clashes, which were erupted during search and arrest operations, as well as during a protest in the town of Abu-Dis in Jerusalem. “Overall, the Israeli forces conducted over 100 search and arrest operations in the West Bank and arrested around 150 Palestinians,” the report said, referring to the period between July 26 and August
