UK rapped for aiding Bahrain, KSA crimes

The demonstration was organized by the London-based Bahraini Freedom Movement and supported by anti-war activists from the Stop the War Coalition in London.

Protesters gathered outside the Bahraini embassy in London and voiced their anger over what they called British complicity in the Bahraini regime’s brutal crackdown on protesters. They also marched to the Saudi Arabian embassy, condemned the Saudi regime’s leading role in the crackdown on Bahraini people, and expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabian protesters.

The protests in London come shortly after the Al Khalifa regime in Bahrain imposed a ban on opposition rallies and a 25-year-old youth was run down by a Bahraini police vehicle and later martyred in a military hospital.

Meanwhile, Britain has continued to sell arms to the Bahraini regime in the aftermath of the crackdown on anti-regime protesters. Media reports showed Britain approved the sale of arms valued at more than £1 million in the wake of the violent crackdown on the Bahraini people.

Moreover, former Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner, John Yates, works for the Bahraini regime as the chief adviser supervising security forces.
