UK Queen to appear in Peppa Pig

Peppa Pig is a successful children’s show in Britain. The Queen is to don wellies and join in Peppa’s favourite activity, jumping in muddy puddles, reported the Mail.

The episode which would feature Queen Elizabeth II as the first human character in the series will be screened on television next month in order to attract young viewers as celebrations would mark the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s reign.

Buckingham Palace has announced that they are “aware” of the programme. The episode, Peppa Meets The Queen, will be screened on Channel 5’s Milkshake! on June 4 while a televised Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace will be held the same day and 2,012 beacons will be lit throughout the UK.

“As a British production, it’s only fitting that Peppa Pig pays tribute to the Queen and we couldn’t resist the opportunity to put her into the show,” said Peppa Pig producer Phil Davies.

Furthermore, earlier this week it emerged that the British Queen was to act in the next James Bond film bestowing knighthood to Daniel Craig, who plays the role of the 007 agent.
