An Ada County witness reports that there was much more than fireworks lighting up the sky on the Fourth of July. The Mutual UFO Network database includes a report from an Idaho person who reported a “car size, orange, glowing object” that moved from north to south. The MUFON report said the witness first assumed the object was a small plane.
“Several of us observed this orange, glowing cylinder with a dome top about the size of a car fly low and slow,” the report stated. “The object was silent.”
No images or video were included with the MUFON report, which was filed July 6.
“It then turned towards the east and slowly faded out as it got further away,” wrote the anonymous witness. “Absolutely the best 4th of July we will ever remember. I’ve seen moving stars but never up close and in my area.”
According to MUFON, Idaho had four UFO reports in June 2012, the 33rd highest report state in the nation. California had 84 reports, making it the highest reporting state in the nation.
