A large shark, over two metres long, was caught by fishermen on Friday in Paleochora, Chania, and naturally, it attracted everyone’s at the port in the morning.
According to Zarpa News, the shark is a genus Alopias, also known as a thresher shark or fox shark.
They are large sharks, which are found in temperate and tropical ocean waters all over the world, while it is also found in Greek waters.
