Two boys seriously injured in a head-on trail bike accident have had their conditions downgraded from critical to stable.
The boys were airlifted to the Royal Children’s Hospital with critical head injuries following a trail bike accident at a property in southwest Victoria on Saturday night.
Four boys, aged 11 to 13, were riding two trail bikes when they collided head-on on a property at Nalangil, west of Colac, about 6.30pm (AEST).
The two critically injured boys were flown in separate helicopters to the Royal Children’s Hospital, while a third boy was taken to the same hospital via road ambulance.
A hospital spokeswoman said the boys conditions had since stabilised.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
