Abadan, Khuzestan Prov, Feb 15, IRNA – Two tow vessels, called Yasin 1 and Avid and fully indigenous to Iran, were launched on the Karoon River in southwest of the country.
Yasin 1 and Avid have been built by Iranian experts in 19 and 24 months respectively at the total cost of 80 billion rials (more than 2.2 million dollars), Amir Shoqi said.
The Iranian tow vessels with the top speed of 12 to 14 knots will be used on oil platforms, said he.
