Two injured in Melbourne hit-run incident



TWO elderly women have been struck by a car in a hit-and-run incident in Melbourne.


The women, aged 86 and 75, were crossing Cheltenham Road at the intersection of Chapel Road in Keysborough just after 6.30pm (AEST) on Sunday when they were struck by a car.

Police said the driver did not stop at the scene to offer assistance.

Both women suffered non life-threatening injuries and were taken to the Monash Medical Centre for treatment.

Police believe the car involved in the incident a white four wheel driver, and may have been a late model Kia.
