Two hoons have their vehicles impounded

Two hoon drivers will be using public transport for the next month after their vehicles were impounded after they were caught speeding on Sunday.

A 21-year-old man in a Subaru WRX reached 153km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Eastern Freeway before he was pulled up by police at 4.30pm (AEST).

His car was immediately impounded for 30 days and he is expected to be charged on summons with speed-related offences.

The same police from Nunawading then clocked a 23-year-old motorcyclist travelling at 175km/h inbound on the Eastern Freeway around 8pm.

He also had home made registration plates.

He lost his bike for 30 days is expected to be charged on summons with speed dangerous, using false number plates, unregistered and unlicensed driving.
