Two farmers injured, fishing boat burnt by Israeli forces

Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip -Israeli forces opened fire on Saturday night at Palestinian farmers, wounded two on eastern borders, and damaged fishing boat off the Gaza coast.

Palestinian medical sources said that two Palestinian farmers were admitted to hospital tonight after they had been wounded in the legs by the Israeli forces in eastern Gaza city of Rafah.

Relatives said that the farmers were part of a group of around 15, who were working in their farms and preparing to plant potato in the morning.

Both of the farmers sustained moderate injuries, the medical sources said.

Meanwhile, the Israeli navy opened fire at the Palestinian fishermen in off the Gaza coast to the west of the same city -Rafah.

No human causalities were reported, but the fishermen said that one fishing boat was completely burnt and several were partially damaged.

This is almost a daily aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian fishermen.

Last year Israeli naval forces opened fire on Palestinian fishermen at least 139 times, wounding 24 and damaging 16 fishing boats, the Palestinian Human Rights Centre said.
