Two people have died in a house fire in Melbourne’s southeast.
Firefighters were called to the house in Main Road, Clayton South just before 1am (AEST) on Friday and found it well alight, the MFB said in a statement.
The fire was brought under control within 40 minutes and firefighters then were able to gain entry to the house where they found two bodies.
An MFB fire investigator joined police and firefighters at the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
