A motorcyclist was killed when another rider veered on to the wrong side of the road and struck his bike and a third machine in northeast Victoria.
He was the second motorcyclist to die in the state in two hours on Sunday.
Earlier a Creswell man died after losing control and leaving he road at St Arnaud North, in northwest Victoria, at 12.30pm (AEST) on Sunday.
Police believe the Kinglake accident happened when a motorcyclist clipped a car travelling in the same direction, then veered on to the wrong side of the road, where he struck two oncoming motorbikes.
The rider of one of the oncoming bikes, a Greensborough man, died at the scene.
The other two motorcyclists have been taken to hospital.
The deaths of the two men follow a serious crash earlier in the day between a sportscar and a four-wheel-drive near Bacchus Marsh.
Police believe a 30-year-old Hawthorn man driving a red Porsche rear-ended the 4WD before crashing into a railing, leaving him in a critical condition.
Later on Sunday, six people, including a one-year-old and a two-year-old, were taken to hospital after a collision involving three cars and a motorcycle near Mildura.
Victoria’s road toll stands at 81 compared with 72 at the same time last year.
