Canon has announced the availability of its first mirrorless, interchangeable lens camera, the EOS M.
The camera offers DSLR-like features including an 18.0 MP APS-C CMOS (APS-C) Sensor, Full HD movie capture with Focus Tracking, manual exposure control, a 3.0” touchscreen LCD, touch autofocus and multi touch operation, and compatibility with existing Canon EF and EF-S lenses, while maintaining a convenient, almost pocketable body size.
Microbloggers are voicing their excitement over the new camera, tweeting, “YES. Will be buying a canon EOS M as soon as it’s available,” “Specs of the new Canon EOS M look stunning for the price. Looking forward to seeing some production images,” “Pretty awesome looking” and “Wow. The Canon EOS M is real, and it sounds amazing. Slightly bummed it doesn’t take EF lenses natively; adapter only.”
