Diplomatic sources at Turkey’s embassy in Tehran announced on Tuesday that ministers of foreign affairs, economic affairs, energy, urban development, and environment will be accompanying the Turkish Premier during the visit, IRNA reported.
Erdogan, who is attending a nuclear summit in South Korea, will leave Seoul later on Tuesday and arrive in Tehran early on Wednesday morning.
He will be officially received by Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi upon his arrival in Tehran.
During his stay, Erdogan will meet and confer with Rahimi as well as Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and Majlis speaker, Ali Larijani.
He will also attend Iranian president’s dinner banquet on Wednesday night.
The Turkish delegates will discuss issues related to bilateral relations as well as the most important developments in the Middle East and Iran’s nuclear energy program with relevant officials of the Islamic Republic.
Erdogan will also inaugurate Turkey’s cultural center in Tehran during the visit.
Before departing for Iran, Erdogan met with US President, Barack Obama, on the sidelines of South Korea’s nuclear summit on Monday.
The two officials discussed Iran’s nuclear energy program as well as the current situation in Syria.
