Awake Goy C-SPAN’s Steve Scully, who was scheduled to be the moderator for the next presidential debate, is apparently claiming that his Twitter account was “hacked” after he sent a tweet to anti-Trump former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci asking him for advice.
The controversy began when Scaramucci responded to a tweet that appeared as if Scully had intended to send it as a private message.
Scully asked whether he should “respond to” President Trump’s attacks on him, to which Scaramucci replied, “Ignore. He is having a hard enough time. Some more bad stuff about to go down.”
Scaramucci was fired after just two weeks on the job and has been a vehement critic of Trump ever since.
After numerous prominent figures accused Scully of betraying his anti-Trump bias, the C-SPAN host deleted the tweet before Frank Fahrenkopf, the co-chairman for the Commission on Presidential Debates, told the Brian Kilmeade Show that Scully had been hacked.
“I don’t know about this question of whether or not he tweeted something out,” said Fahrenkopf. “I do know, and you probably pick up on it in a minute, that he was hacked. There was apparently something now that being was on television and the radio saying that he talked to [Anthony] Scaramucci … and that he’s been talking to Scaramucci, he was hacked. It didn’t happen.”
“If he was really hacked has he called his sources to let them know what the alleged hacker may have seen?” asked Arthur Schwartz. “Has he called the FBI? Local law enforcement? He just opened a huge can of worms because he didn’t want to admit a mistake.”

The claim is dubious at best given that Scully was apparently talking to Scaramucci and has a pro-Biden history having served as the former VP’s intern.

Scully also previously betrayed his anti-Trump bias by tweeting a New York Times opinion piece entitled ‘No, Not Trump, Not Ever’.

The C-SPAN host, who had been picked to moderate the second presidential debate on October 15 before it was cancelled after Trump refused to participate in a virtual format, was chastised by Trump during a Fox Business interview Thursday morning when Trump said he thought Scully was a “nice guy” but that he was a “Never Trumper”.
