Residents of Whatcom County in Washington State are still waiting for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign to pay their $53,000 bill for a rally and security costs.
The County Council requested the Trump campaign pay their outstanding bill back in September of last year. The money was owed for security at a May 7th rally in Lynden.
According to local reports , costs to secure law enforcement for the event totaled an estimated $307,000.
Jennifer Schneider, confidential clerk for the Whatcom County council said the campaign has ignored their requests for reimbursement.
Commenters on Twitter voiced disdain for Trump’s refusal to pay for rally costs.

@lindsaycohen @BhamHerald Might as well count that as a loss. Trump doesn’t pay his bills.

The Trump campaign has an out-standing debt to cities where he held rallies to the tune of $204,000 for police and security related necessities.
Campaign pollsters were also left without payment from the Trump campaign. According to a recent Federal Election Commission filing, Donald J Trump for President, Inc. owes Tony Fabrizio, pollster and Republican strategist, $766,756.67 in unpaid invoices for research and counseling.
There are 33 states that have open court cases against Trump’s campaign involving a curtain maker, a chandelier shop and an attorney seeking reimbursement for unpaid debts; while reports show that this is a drop in the bucket because there are hundreds of people across the country who have been stiffed by Trump.
One company that has received payments for services rendered is the Trump Organization. Journalist Kenneth Vogel explained: “The Trump campaign’s payments to Trump-owned businesses account for about 7 percent of its $119 million spending total.”
The Trump-owned businesses received $1.3M for campaign office rentals, $544K for food & facilities for events and meetings, and $33K payroll for Trump corporate staffers.
