Tony Danza, Vince Vaughn Reportedly Team Up For New ABC Sitcom And More Casting News

Tony Danza has reportedly joined forces with Vince Vaughn for a new ABC sitcom, tentatively titled “The Guys.”

According to Variety, the series will focus on a group of three old friends who begin new chapters of their lives as they enter their golden years.

“I know I’m in popular company when I say I’ve been a fan of Tony’s for a long time,” Vaughn said. “[I] am thrilled to be collaborating with him on this really funny and relatable show.”

“The Guys” isn’t the only project on Danza’s plate. The “Who’s The Boss?” and “Taxi” vet recently signed on to Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut as Gordon-Levitt’s dad alongside Julianne Moore and Scarlett Johansson in the still-untitled film.

Ray Stevenson has joined the “Dexter” cast.
The “Rome” actor will play a high-ranking member of a crime ring who heads to Miami to find out who murdered his associate on the CBS drama. [TVLine]

Fionnula Flanagan and Mia Kirshner are headed to Syfy’s “Defiance.” Former “Lost” star Flanagan will play the town’s mayor in the dystopian drama, while Kirshner has landed the role of the city’s “self-assured” madam. [TVLine]

Brendan Hines will appear on “Covert Affairs.” The “Scandal” actor will guest star on the USA drama’s third season as a kind-hearted Peace Corps volunteer named Wade. [TVLine]
