However, Tokyo Skytree is officially the world’s second tallest building – a
different category of structures – after Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, which
measures 2,717 feet.
Visitors to the observation decks of the tower for the first seven weeks are
those who won a highly competitive online lottery draw for tickets, with
normal daily ticket sales expected to start from July.
Among the most high-profile of the new attraction’s first visitors to Tokyo
Skytree was Lady Gaga, who obtained a sneak preview of the new tower last
week while visiting the capital.
