A TODDLER is fighting for his life in hospital after nearly drowning in Sydney’s south-west.
A police spokeswoman said emergency services were called to a house on Craigslea Place, Canley Heights, about 5.40pm (AEDT) yesterday following reports a child had drowned.
The child, believed to be 18 months old, was rushed to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
It is not known if the near drowning happened in a swimming pool or bath tub, the spokeswoman said.
