Thugs steal good samaritan’s car

A good samaritan was bashed and had his car stolen when he tried to help two stranded men.

The 46-year-old man was driving through Glenroy, in Melbourne’s north, when the pair flagged him down around 4.40am (AEDT) Saturday, telling him their car had broken down.

The man offered the pair a lift and they instructed him to drive to a nearby laneway where they assaulted him with an iron bar.

They dragged the driver from the car and attacked him again, before speeding away in his car.

The victim was treated for cuts to his head and body.
