Here is what I have just published on Facebook…
—————
I have received TWO independent pieces of information. My own source prefers to remain anonymous and the other from Robert Green himself, who passed me information from another anonymous source. Both of these sources are members of the public and have no official involvement in Robert’s case of the case of Hollie Greig.
As everyone knows, Robert Green and his legal team have repeatedly been denied access to the audio and/or written transcripts to his trial and sentencing. However, the prosecution requested and was granted access from the start. In addition, I requested copies of these documents via the Freedom of Information Act (Scotland) 2002, only to be told that the requested information is not covered by the Act and that Robert should get his lawyers to go through the legal route to obtain copies – if they exist. At the time I received that reply, Robert’s lawyers had already been denied access via that route. Therefore, the system was clearly doing all it could to prevent Robert from lodging an effective Appeal against his prosecution and sentencing by withholding crucial documents from him and his legal team.
A few days ago, I received correspondence proving that another member of the public had also made a request for these documents. They were provided with the attached document. I wrote to Robert about this and I think our letters have crossed in the post because he wrote to me today, providing me with an identical document that his anonymous source has received, via a similar route to that taken by my source.
