Two teenage girls have allegedly stabbed each other in a fight about shoes at a Gold Coast shopping centre overnight.
A 17-year-old allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed a 16-year-old in the thigh at Robina Town Centre at 7.45pm last night, the Courier Mail reports.
The younger girl then allegedly wrestled the knife away before cutting the older girl on the stomach and staggering into a nearby store for help.
Witnesses said the fight broke out over a pair of shoes.
“The girl who used the knife first has been stirring a lot of s— lately,” a friend of the 16-year-old told the Gold Coast Bulletin.
“She went into Big W and racked the knife just for the fight.”
Paramedics said neither of the girls had life-threatening injuries but both remain in hospital.
In April in the same shopping centre a bikie allegedly shot a rival gang member and a female shopper.
