TWO teenagers have been arrested over a spate of armed robberies of taxi drivers in Melbourne’s northwestern suburbs.
At least 10 taxi drivers have reported being robbed in a three-month period.
In each case, drivers were called for a trip to Melbourne Airport, only to find it was a ruse to lure them into a trap in a dead-end street.
Police say the duo, aged 18 and 19, were to be questioned last night and were expected to be charged with multiple counts of armed robbery.
