Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz has pulled a campaign ad after it emerged that it starred an actress involved in a number of soft pornographic films.
Washington Post reports:
Cruz’s campaign released four ads this week and, for the most part, they have tried to use humor against the candidate’s rivals. One ad out Friday spoofed a scene from the 1999 movie “Office Space,” where a group of office workers smash a printer. It shows three people, including one meant to be Clinton, wielding a baseball bat and smashing computer equipment to the tune of “Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangster” by the Geto Boys.

Another that tried to be funny got pulled — because one of the actresses in it appeared in soft-core pornography. The ad featured a therapy group for people who supported, and felt burned by, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.)
“Maybe you should vote for more than just a pretty face next time,” the woman, played by actress Amy Lindsay, said.

Cruz said Friday that Linsday “had a more colorful film history than we were aware.”
The Texas Republican’s campaign also released a spot this week depicting Donald Trump as an action figure that “pretends to be a Republican.”

Cruz also got serious against Trump with an ad hitting the real estate mogul for his support of eminent domain and a 1990s case where he tried to take the home of an Atlantic City, N.J., woman to build a parking lot for one of his casinos. It said Trump has a “pattern of sleaze stretching back decades.”
