Iranian Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi and Polish Minister of Health Konstanty Radziwiłł signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday to expand medical cooperation between Iran and Poland in areas of medical care and treatment, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, education and research.
After his two day visit to Finland and signing similar agreements with the Finnish officials, Qazizadeh Hashemi arrived in Warsaw on Thursday.
Sitting at a business opportunities session of companies from Iran and Poland, meeting with deputy economy minister of Poland, and visiting an insulin production factory were the other plans of Iranian minister for Thursday.
The Iranian Health Minister was also bestowed a bouquet of flowers for commemorating the hospitality of Iranians toward Polish war refugees of the Second World War.
Prior to visit to Poland, the Iranian minister along the accompanying delegation made visits to Finland’s National Institute for Health and Welfare, Docrates Cancer Center, Helsinki University Hospotial (HUH), Finland’s Institute for Molecular Medicine (FIMM), as well as Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
Iran’s health minister and Finland’s minister of family affairs and social services also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen mutual efforts to achieve highest international standards in numerous arenas including health and hospital services, health promotion and disease prevention, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, health products, cosmetics, food and nutrition, medical research as well as boosting capabilities of health workers.
