A Palestinian man in Israel was murdered on Saturday in the occupied Palestine (Israel) over what his family said “hate grounds.”
The Palestinian was identified as Anan Hakroush, 48, from Kafr Kanna and he was shot while driving his private car near the Mercantile Bank in Al-Galil.
Witnesses said that the Palestinian man, with the Israeli citizenship, was shot with several live bullets and rushed to hospital, where he was announced dead.
Hakroush is the nephew of the deputy Israeli police commander for the Arab-majority areas in occupied Palestine Jamal Hakroush.
Spokeswoman of the Israeli police Luba al-Samri recognised the ground of the murder is criminal, noting that the Israeli police knows the murderer who is a Jew.
Relatives of the murdered Palestinian* said that the victim had no enemies. However, they noted that several members of the family were verbally harassed after Jamal Harkoush was appointed a senior officer in the Israeli police.
Hassan Hakrouh, relative of the victim, said that the Arab community have reported lack of policing in the Arab neighbourhoods at the time almost all the Israeli Jews own light firearms.
Earlier, the Israeli Knesset called on the Israeli occupation authorities to crackdown on the illegal weapons owned by the Jewish residents who love among the Arabs, but the calls were hit with blocked ears.
